The Intermediate Guide To Maintaining Your Home Clean

Nowadays we are overwhelmed with our duties and responsibilities. Due to hectic lifestyle, people can’t seem to find enough time to thoroughly and neatly clean their homes. Since adult life promotes adult responsibilities, it is crucial to learn how to properly maintain your home clean. A little scrub and swish here and there won’t be enough. Believe it or not, but there are a few rather useful and nifty ways to do the cleaning and keep it clean, and here is the guide on how to do so.

  1. Set a cleaning schedule

Even if you are head over heels in chores, you need to take cleaning job seriously. Meaning, you need to find time during the day to do the cleaning. The best thing would be to have a small notice board hung somewhere in the house where you constantly pass so that you could easily have a look at what is scheduled for today. Have a routine of writing down your weekly cleaning chores. Schedule a fixed timetable. For instance, Mondays are for vacuuming the entire house. Tuesdays and Thursdays are for thorough bathroom scrub, Wednesdays for cleaning the kitchen and leave the weekends to do small chunks of everything. You don't need to spend hours, even 15-minute vacuum will do the trick.

2. Use a variety of products

You might not have been aware of this, but there are different cleaning cloths for the various surface. Which actually means that you cannot properly clean your bathroom tiles with a kitchen cloth, neither you can use a rough cloth for the floor to clean your windows. By using the right cleaning item for the appropriate surface you will make the job of maintaining your home clean much easier and faster. The same rule applies to the cleaning products. The bathroom chemicals, which are way too strong, mustn't be used for swiping dust. You have to get the products needed for a specific cleaning area. You would be surprised how effective the results would be, and your home will stay clean for a longer period.

3. The nasty scraping

Many of Sydney's residents avoid doing the deep cleaning in their homes. However, that is something inevitable. All of us have a nasty part in our homes that we tend to avoid cleaning. Whether it is a smelly mold from the basement, forgotten cobweb behind the closets and on the attic, or even doing the long and tedious floor, freezer or pantry cleaning. In Australia, people are used to calling professional to the job of painting and general handyman services. If you happen to need rubbish removal, carpet or furniture cleaning and laying, it is perfectly okay to find a Sydney cleaning maintaining service to do all of those things instead of you. In that way, while the experts do the long and nasty scraping, you would have enough time to focus on doing the other small cleaning.

4. Better be safe than sorry

A very nifty tip to maintaining your home clean is actually to keep it clean all the time. This might sound impossible, but it is a really easy thing to do. No matter if you cook every day or only twice a week, keep an oven and cooker cleaning product close so that you can always spray quickly after you have finish cleaning. In that way, you won't need to deep-clean and scrub the leftovers that have been piling up. Next, keep a special cloth for cleaning bathroom tiles, sinks and washbasins. Immediately after washing hands and tooth brushing wipe the water out of those surfaces, without using any chemical products. You would remove limescale, and stop it from spreading. When you only dry-wipe the tile with a clean towel, you won’t have to clean the bathroom every single day.

5. The neglected areas

There are some areas around your home that you might have never thought need cleaning. Those are little-hidden areas that are not visible to a naked eye. First of all, the filters. Get a water-based oil degreaser and an old sponge and take the air conditioning, cooker, and other filters. Fill the sink with hot water and start rubbing. Rinse with cold water when cleaned and place the filters back. Another thing that people miss out is the refrigerator coil. From time to time take a vacuum hose and attachment and vacuum the coil, only make sure that you unplug the refrigerator. In the end, try at least once a year to deep clean your mattress. When you clean the sheets and blankets, flip and rotate the mattress, and with clean rag wash it.

Don’t do annual cleaning, but try to do it as often as possible. You would feel content and ready for other challenges.
