Bomb shelter in HDB does not permit wall mount AC, hence it has ducting openings that provide ventilation when there is an emergency to take refuge during unforeseen circumstance.

I would like to suggest to those who wishes to make use of the BS by following methods while not violating HDB stringent regulations:
1. install one incoming fresh air exhaust via PVC flat channel flat pipe directly into the ventilation opening , or
2. loop one electrical circuit from the 13A lighting point and bring it down to eye level, so that you can use it for a low wattage electrical wall fan, or
3. find a low wattage (< 5000 BTU) movable AC and make sure you reduce the cooling outgoing flexible discharge air pipe with rockwool and heat insulation to prevent the room from the discharge heat from the AC.

By the way, BS area is 35 sqft, the BTU for the AC is 3000 BTU!

Once ventilation is taken care, the rest is easy.
Why not use the BS as a mini vault instead, or a wine chiller! just wild idea.
