Like the previous reviewer I too wished I could rate Becker higher. The person I corresponded with was friendly and generally responsive. Nothing was impossible. He was usually positive. I left the first meeting feeling quite good. I was unfortunately very wrong.

The quality of the work done was awful. I am convinced they used untrained workers. Anyone--and I am confident anyone, even those who don't know anything about construction or repairs--would come to the same conclusion.

The paint work was exceptionally bad. Very amateurish and messy. The electrical work was similarly poor. Worse still, their prices were not cheap. Their charges for painting were only marginally cheaper than Nippon paint. They also used things in the house they shouldn't have touched because they didn't bring their own equipment.

Frankly, I could have done a better job had I taken a few days leave. In the end, that's what I had to do to fix the mess.

Wish I could rate them higher, but they were just so unreliable and fly-by-night even in the Wild Wild West of Contractor LalaLand Singapore. My helpers had to instruct theirs nonstop on the job, and even then lots of spots left unpainted, unsanded, or just glossed over. Never knew who I was dealing with, the boss or helper or whatever, and had little control over what would happen on work day. Rate was comparable to my estate agent's, but wished I had hired a more professional contractor. Love that Kluje is putting power and transparency back in the hands of the consumer in this totally unreliable and unregulated industry in Singy.
