Avoid at all cost! Came early by almost 1 hour when I'm not home yet, still insists he gave me the correct timing when WhatsApp chat clearly shows he's too early. Forgot to bring the correct tools, forgot to bring the correct amount of materials.

He still blames the customer for being too picky, when in fact he made a lot of mistakes. He refuses to admit that he forgot to bring the correct tools, until I asked his bangla worker in private, in which the worker told me that they brought the wrong toolbag and had forget to replenish their silicone caulking before coming. Halfway through the job, he had to rush to the nearest hardware store to buy some extra materials to complete the work.

In the end, he still demanded to be paid in full when only 70% of the work is completed. The work given to him is very simple: install 2 wall fans and 2 power sockets. But he managed to f**k it up so badly, which EXPOSED ELECTRICAL WIRING that is outside of cable trunking, holes in the cable trunking due to his forgetting to bring silicone. Cable trunking with VERY shark edges due to lousy cutting. In spite of all of the poor workmanship, he still demanded to be paid in full and in cash before leaving.

I did not look for more quotes because I needed to complete this job quite urgently. I thought the price is rather steep. Quality can be better (e.g. wall plaster can be smoother, there's a small scratch on the induction cooker), but I was not around to give feedback.
Overall, will still engage Sam for future jobs because he's very prompt in communication and is very polite.

Great! I had a few small jobs that most contractors were not interested in doing. Sam quoted a very reasonable price and the quality of the work was great and met my expectations. The final installation date was late but still acceptable.

Pros: 1) Sam was very professional and prompt to come for site visit. 2) Stayed behind to monitor job.
Cons: 1) Punctuality and work schedule needs improvement, there were numerous changes to dates and timing but he did deliver at said completion date. 2) Workmanship can be improved, upon closer inspection there were some black marks on my white kitchen top. 3) Electrician forget to install trucking to hold wire up inside cupboard, so wire left dangling.
Overall, if you have budget/ time constraints can give him a try, having said that this job did exceed the budget I stated. If money not an issue and plenty of time, can try to seek more quotes. Lastly, this firm is not HDB registered.

For renovation works on a smaller scale, Sam is definitely one of the better contractors in the market in that his quotation is reasonable and the quality of the work is very decent. Sam is also willing to compromise if the request is fair. He is responsive and will see the job through. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Sam is a down to earth contractor who is responsible and very prompt in his responses. I engaged him for partition, door and electrical works for my walk in wardrobe and he responded immediately, coming in with a quote on the same day- even though mine was just a small job. He is unlike new age ID who is out to charge for unnecessary services and only accepts big projects. His quotes are most reasonable and his workers most efficient. I engaged Mr Sam Ho to do the following renovation last month and job was done and handed over just a week ago.
 
 1) repaint whole house
 2) Partition up a bedroom with door
 3) level up balcony with new bedroom (platform)
 4) hack balcony sliding door
 5) remove balcony iron grill and replace sliding window
 6) remove existing  main bedroom, hall and bedroom 3 window grills
 7) Do laminate flooring for new room
 8) hack a door way between bedroom 3 and study room
 9) replace 2 toilet folding door
 10) build 6 dividers to block main entrance and hall
 11) additional power point for new room
 12) rewire light location and switch for new room.
 13) partition up exiting study room entrance without removing existing sliding door.
 
 And I must write in to offer my feedback that I am dam VERY HAPPY with his work done really!  His attitude was good, his price offered was good and his workmanship was good. Sam is a very nice guy, he is very friendly, professional and experience.   He is not calculative, he did alot more extra work for me FOC! which could easily caused me an additional of many hundreds of dollars......  and for this I am very thankful of him really as I am working on a very tight budget for this renovation.
 With the dollars I pay and the work I received from him, the words use to express is nothing more than HAPPY and APPRECIATE. So IF Sam ever bids for your renovation job, I strongly recommend that you should engage his services because he delivers! A Tips for you.... ....... just be nice and friendly with him and he will return alot more.

For some reasons, maybe it was a relatively small project, no other bids were received except for Sam and it turned out very well. Here are some reasons why he deserves my credits and praise.
 
 1. He accepted my request to meet in the evening due to my work.
 2. He arrived. He listened. He adviced.
 3. He came well prepared, showing me and my wife the available types of materials that can be used.
 4. From the conversation that we had, he is sincere, professional and responsible.
 5. The delivery was supposed to be last week, but he gave ample notice mid week to postpone to this morning
 6. Sam came together with 2 of his workers to ensure the works (small project) went well
 
 His quote was very reasonable. Quality of the carpentry way much better than i expected. If i have known him earlier, would have given him the full reno works to my new home which we have just shifted in
